Who will roll away the stone?
Early in the morning, the sun already risen
Three women came bearing spices, the Lord's body to anoint
Standing outside the tomb, they asked each other saying
"Who will roll away the stone?"
Looking up they realized, the stone had been removed
And to their amazement, a young man sat before them
"Do not be amazed," he said, "for Jesus the Nazarene
He who has been crucified, here you will not find
He has risen from the grave" early on the first day
You'll find him on the road
You'll find him at your table
"He has risen from the dead" (early on the first day)

Come thou fount of every blessing
Come Thou fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it,
Mount of God's unchanging love.
Here I raise my Ebenezer;
Hither by Thy help I'm come;
And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood.
O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrained to be!
Let that grace now like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to Thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here's my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.

Every ditch, every valley
Isaiah 40
A voice says “Cry out, all men are like grass
And their time of glory soon shall pass
But the word of God it will never die
Surely it will stand for eternity”
Every ditch and valley shall be raised up
Every hill and mountain be made low
Every rugged place will be made flat
Everybody shall see the glory of the LORD
You who bring good news raise your voice and shout!
Do not be afraid to speak the name of God
The hard days are gone, the debt has been paid,
and the time has come to walk the righteous way

How Sweet And Awesome
03:49
|
|||
How sweet and awesome
How sweet and awesome is the place
With Christ within the doors,
While everlasting love displays
The choicest of her stores!
While all our hearts and all our songs
Join to admire the feast,
Each of us cry, with thankful tongues,
“Lord, why was I a guest?
Why was I made to hear Thy voice,
And enter while there’s room,
When thousands make a wretched choice,
And rather starve than come?”
’Twas the same love that spread the feast
That sweetly drew us in;
Else we had still refused to taste,
And perished in our sin.

Following
07:03
|
|||
Following
No other man could still the storm
Seething, surging settling down
No other God could step onboard
With eyes to sleep and lungs to drown.
Safer to face the sea’s cold embrace than him.
A carpenter told me where to fish
But gave me a catch I could not hold
Shaking I knelt in the sinking boat
And left heaps of fish on the beach unsold.
I’ve come on the run, but what have I done
To follow?
Your burdens are light
But your blessings are heavy
Almost too weighty to bear
There’s a hook in this meal
To receive is to follow
And you won’t always say where
What fool would dare follow you?
Hands that once healed are now spread wide
Tide-walking feet now fixed as one
The Lord of the sea like a fish hangs dried
Stroked by the lash, the taunts, the sun.
Broken to feed a much deeper need than we knew.
What do I have that is not Yours?
Curses and thanks on borrowed breath,
Rowing away with borrowed oars,
Not even alone in lonely death.
A net from the deep is rising beneath me now.

Resting Place

Resting place
Psalm 61
O my God hear my cry
Listen to my prayer
I call to you from afar
I call as my heart grows faint
I call as my heart grows faint
You have heard each word I say
Lord you have heard my vows
Lead me to a higher place,
then I will ever sing your praise
Then I will ever sing your praise
Lord my enemies surround
They taunt me night and day
There is no peace for me at all
Lord bring me to a resting place
Lord bring me to a resting place

Of the Father’s love begotten
Of the Father's love begotten, ere the world began to be,
He is Alpha and Omega, He the source, the ending He,
Of the things that are, that have been,
And that future years shall see, evermore and evermore!
O that birth forever blessèd, when the virgin, full of grace,
By the Holy Ghost conceiving, bare the Savior of our race;
And the Babe, the world's Redeemer,
First revealed His sacred face, evermore and evermore!
O ye heights of heaven adore Him; angel hosts, His praises sing;
Powers, dominions, bow before Him, and extol our God and King!
Let no tongue on earth be silent,
Every voice in concert sing, evermore and evermore!
Christ, to Thee with God the Father, and, O Holy Ghost, to Thee,
Hymn and chant with high thanksgiving, and unwearied praises be:
Honor, glory, and dominion,
And eternal victory, evermore and evermore!

Heaven
05:38
|
|||
Heaven
Heaven knows your tomorrows
Heaven holds all your hope
Heaven sees the grief and sorrow
Burning in your heart
Heaven knows when you’re weary
Heaven knows when you’re lost
Heaven’s coming for to find you
To find you at all cost
Heaven is drawing near
with force that none can stand
It’s blowing through like a hurricane
It’s drifting in like sand
It is sadness for the powerful
Consolation to the weak
Heaven sets free the captives
Gives those silenced voice to speak
Heaven has a hallelujah
Made for you and you alone
Do not rest until it leads you home
Heaven is like a banquet
For all to come and feast
You must not fly away to find it
It’s closer than you think
But you must be like a child
With open hands you must come
Following the father’s words
Walking with the son
Heaven has a hallelujah
Made for you and you alone
Do not rest until it leads you home
Do not rest until it leads you home

May the mind of Christ, my Savior
May the mind of Christ, my Savior,
Live in me from day to day,
By His love and power controlling
All I do and say.
May the Word of God dwell richly
In my heart from hour to hour,
So that all may see I triumph
Only through His power.
May the peace of God, my Father,
Rule my life in everything.
That I may be calm to comfort
Sick and sorrowing.
May His beauty rest upon me
As I seek the lost to win
And may they forget the channel
Seeing only Him

River

River
Psalm 46
When the strong winds blow
And the waters rise
When the mountains crumble at our feet
As the earth gives way
We shall not fear
For the help of the lord is near
His promises shall never be unmade
Though we wait we do not wait in vain
There is a river whose streams flow down
There is a city that will stay
God will help her at the break of day
Though nations war
Though kingdoms fall
If He lifts his voice
the whole earth would melt
He will break their guns
He will stop our bombs
He will bring peace
and send the soldiers home

There Is A Face
06:22
|
|||
There is a face
There is a face I long to see
In its gaze alone is life
But I can’t face it as I am
To look on it would be to die
Towards my lips
The flaming coal
Burning ‘til it finds the place
The inner stain
Upon my soul…
We will be made clean
The darkened doors I’ve lingered in
The dead-end roads down which I’ve run
Will be revealed for what they’ve been
Their power to tempt forever gone.
Every longing without name
Will finally find its proper place.
The host of fears that grip us now
Will melt in fear before his face.
We’ll wind our way to mountain heights
And view the race already run
And onward go, our way made bright
By his face, shining like the sun

Until He Comes
04:43
|
|||
Until He comes
I have sought the darkness
I have been unwise
Since I was young I have hungered
for the sinful life
And when you called I ran from you
Down every easy road
My God have you forsaken me?
Is it too late for my soul?
Great is thy faithfulness
Great is thy love
I will wait on the Lord
Until He comes to make me whole
His promise is my hope
His promise is my hope
I have known affliction
Cried rivers from my eyes
I have longed for death to come
To still my worried mind
I will wait quietly for the one I seek
He will show compassion as He brings me grief

For The Crucified One
05:58
|
|||
For the crucified one
The wise misunderstand you
The strong think they’ve put you down
The simple can discern you
And blind men have seen your crown.
Your father has disowned you
And left you upon this tree.
Your friends have all abandoned you
Do not depend on me.
In chaos doubt his wisdom
In danger doubt his power
But will you doubt his love for you
At this, his bloody hour?
At this his lonely hour
You are like no other
Your ways are not our ways
If this your shame is glory
May I not be ashamed.
Your precious flesh unites us
Your blood is like melted gold
With nothing it can’t purchase
Burning and taking hold.
O Lord of all the universe
King of wood and nail;
In weakness, love revealing,
In failure you prevail.

Ordinary Time
They met in a “History of Christian Worship” class in seminary, where they discovered a shared love for old songs in danger
of being forgotten. The band’s oeuvre seamlessly weaves the hymns of generations past with their own new songs—often indistinguishably—producing a
sound that ranges from bluegrass-tinged Americana to sacred harp hymn arrangements.
